The Heart Behind Two Cuts Carpentry

We’re Rick and LeAnn Viel, a husband-and-wife duo who traded the political chaos of California for the peaceful charm of Farmington, Missouri. After Rick’s 30-year military career, God led us to a perfect home for us in a quiet neighborhood on a 3-acre patch of land with a small lake, and it’s here that
Two Cuts Carpentry was born.

Our name and motto say it all:
"Measure, measure, cut, swear, measure, repeat."
It’s our nod to the realities of woodworking—the precision, the passion, and yes, the occasional slip-up and (often curse word) that comes with the craft.

Rick brings decades of hands-on experience to every heirloom-quality piece—cutting boards, shadow boxes, benches, tables, and custom woodworks—each one carefully crafted with skill and heart.

LeAnn adds her own creative touch with pressed flower art and hand-poured beeswax goods. Many of the flowers come straight from our flower beds, lovingly dried and framed into floating botanical keepsakes. Whether it’s petals from a wedding bouquet, an anniversary corsage, a baby’s first bloom, or flowers from a meaningful farewell, we turn cherished moments into lasting treasures.

Looking for something custom? We’re happy to help. From shadow boxes to framed displays, just reach out and tell us about your memory. We’ll guide you through the process—from pressing to framing—and provide a custom quote based on the size, type of wood, style, and details.

From our hands to your home, we’re building more than just beautiful things—we’re helping you preserve your stories.

**Please note, if something is sold out that you would like, please contact us and we are happy to make it exactly as shown or according to your specifications. Prices may vary if changes are made.
